The Unseen Dignity of the Traditional Satanist

Foundations of Satanic Imperium are found in the unseen activities of Solitary Practitioners.

Too often, the individuals that pass for “occultists” in the modern West tend to achieve very little in terms of the real world & the practical occult work of the Left Hand Path; rather, most who participate in the modern “occult community” care more about being seen & being revered, to be recognized & thus cultivate a reputation instead of cultivating results.

And by results, we aren't talking about another tedious Black Magick grimoire or volume of “previously unpublished esoteric secrets.” Such things, like most written works, are unnecessary, and are indicative of the type of weak degeneracy we have come to expect from the modern West: the emphasis of Intellect over strong Character. For far too long, the occult community has worshipped large book collections over physical acts of bravery & courage; fallen for the seductions of clever words from weak men who keep their weakness hidden behind a screen.

Words, whether written or spoken, are only worth something if they follow actions; but not even necessarily.

To value intellect over character is to subscribe to a fundamentally Nazarene hierarchy of values; if one chooses to attend any sort of modern social gathering (much less an “occult” gathering), one will more than likely find a competition of wits between men occuring, pointless debates over inconsequential subjects taking precedent over actually getting anything tangible done. In other words, the perpetuation of old Aeon values, to place scholastic “book smarts” above strength & beauty; courage & honor, traits that have nothing to do with & cannot be learned from scholastic ventures & book learning.

This, essentially, is what distinguishes the true Traditional Satanist from the mundane: strong character. Anyone can read a book & memorize facts contained therein- but not everyone has the strength of Will to endure, say, the Grade Ritual of Internal Adept & live in total isolation for 90 days in the wilderness. Anyone can feign associations with “important people” in an occult community- but not everyone has the courage to travel the world by foot & bicycle for 18 months, risking life & liberty in the process.

For what really matters in the grand scheme of things, what really lays the foundations of Satanic Imperium & the myths our descendants will tell their children, is that which occurs away from the eyes of the masses; that practical, unseen work of the Sevenfold Sinister Way undertaken by the solitary Sinister Initiate, dignified & focused in their pursuit of inner transformation & Aeonic change.

What comes to mind is the old American saying, “Too many chiefs, not enough Indians,” for what we see proliferating in both mainstream society & (unfortunately) the “occult community” is exactly what our progenitors in the ONA warned us about in the 1980s- as mentioned in the Eira manuscripts authored by the Venn Community of Shropshire, we see too many tedious proclamations of “new organizations” without any real occult achievement behind it, too many unnecessary announcements from misguided Neophytes who think they have what it takes to be “the next big thing” when they haven't even begun focusing inward & undertaking the hard, difficult, solitary work of the Sevenfold Way: The genuine Western occult Left Handed Path, a true path to the glory & Power they so crave.

On a practical level, when it comes to achieving true Power, the every day Traditional Satanist who is content with solitude & remaining personally unseen will achieve far more Aeonically than those clammering over eachother for “positions of leadership” and “the spotlight.” Cultivating a certain reputation can be important for some operations, to be sure; but more often than not, this external persona is a strategically designed mask that allows one to move through certain circles with ease- the true work, those Eira defining actions that by their nature must remain esoteric, will always occur in the shadows & seldom be mentioned, if at all. Indeed, at the end of the day, secrecy/anonymity & working from the shadows provides vastly more opportunity & Aeonic potential, both of which are achieved by a quiet Solitary Practice.

Moreover, practically manifesting our Sinister Culture with real world works- such as quietly directing a traditional Satanic Temple, handmaking Incenses, Candles, & Wares for Pathworking, producing Musick & Art inspired by the Sinister Tradition, etc.- and yet choosing to remain quietly producing in the background (rather than entering the dreaded popularity contest that is the modern occult community) is what practically lays the foundation of Satanic Imperium: Culture defining, material, tangible results in the real world, some of which may even be left intentionally obscure in origin & personal attribution; left open in the world to inspire others & thus birth further Sinister forms.

For it is an objective fact that what makes one a real Traditional Satanist isn't what others think of you (even if those others are Traditional Satanists); rather, what makes one a real Traditional Satanist is what one does when no one's watching, alone, in the real world. Not the books you write; not the name of your organization; not your reputation; but the Changes you inflicted on this world, even if no one will ever know you're the one responsible.

For a Satanist, all things considered, should be remembered for their actions; not their words.
